SAFETY PRECAUTIONS, ASSUMPTION OF RISK and WAIVER OF LIABILITY

Playing the game of COG, Center of Gravity, should only be done in an open area of at least 15 ft x 15 ft that is level and totally free and clear of any obstructions or debris. Obstructions or objects within the playing area create added risk of injury as a player may collide with them should the player fall or otherwise lose balance.

There is a weight limit for players using this set. The set is limited to players with individual weights of less than 375 lbs. (170 kg). Individuals with weights exceeding this limit should not play the game.

There is a substantial risk of falls associated with game play, and falls should be expected. Players may fall on each other. Physical contact with other players, the ground, portions of the game set, and any objects in the general area of game play should be expected. Among other things, contact with any of those (including but not limited to game components) may cause skin burns, skin abrasions, cuts, bruises or more severe injuries.

To minimize risk of injury, players may use safety gear of their choice and supply such as such as helmets, elbow pads, kneepads, mouth guards and the like. Playing COG requires balance and concentration and should not be attempted if under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

As with all physical activity, there are risks of injury associated with game play and the use of the COG the GAME set (and any of its components—as used herein references to “the game set” or the “COG the GAME set” shall include its components whether or not the components are specifically referenced). GAME PLAY AND USE OF THE GAME SET INVOLVE THE RISK OF SERIOUS INJURY, EVEN IF THE PLAYERS TAKE PRECAUTIONS AND USE THE GAME SET IN FULL COMPLIANCE WITH INSTRUCTIONS. INJURIES THAT MAY RESULT RANGE FROM MINOR TO SERIOUS, OR EVEN DEATH. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE GAME SET OWNER TO ADVISE ALL PLAYERS OF THE RISKS DESCRIBED HEREIN AND ENSURE THAT EACH PLAYER HAS READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS IN THEIR ENTIRETY AND IS FULLY AWARE OF ALL RISKS. IF THE GAME SET IS TRANSFERRED TO ANY NEW OWNER, IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PRIOR OWNER TO ENSURE THAT THE NEW OWNER IS PROVIDED WITH A FULL COPY OF THESE INSTRUCTIONS AND ADVISED OF ALL RISKS. THESE ALSO AVAILABLE AT WWW.COGTHEGAME.COM

All players play the game and use the COG the GAME set at their own risk.
