The Champions Corner Introduction

The Rules of Play as provided in the Instruction Booklet included with the purchase of COG the GAME apply. For a team to be declared Champion, or “KING of COG” with their video posted in the Champions Corner they must provide COG the GAME management with a clearly defined video of their Team Play. The video must show Players “start” of play (the time when the last Team Member latches onto the Center COG Ring while in Start Position 1 on Exhibit B) up to the time the Team regains its Center of Gravity “end” of play (Position 4 on Exhibit B) and holding that position for 5.0 sec.

Anyone visiting www.cogthegame.com Web Site can view the Champions Corner current best time Team video. Any Team posting a better time, having videoed their play, are invited to send their video to sales@cogthegame.com along with their Team Name and the names of each team member shown in the Video. Teams can be any size from 2 or more players.

There are two Champion forms of Play:

1. FLAT SURFACE PLAYERS of Teams of 2, or 3, or 4, or 5, or 6, or more Players
2. BALANCE BOARD PLAYERS of Teams of 2, or 3, or 4, or 5, or 6 Players

Therefore, the best Team time videos will be posted in the Champions Corner, Flat Surface Play and Balance Board Play. A team that sends in their video beating the time as posted in the Champions Corner will have their video replace the previous record holder to become the new KING of COG and remain in that position until another Team submits a COG Management approved video with a faster time. For example, the 5-person Team “Big Stretch” currently holds the 5-person Flat Surface record with a time of 45.30 seconds. Any 5-person Team to beat this time should send in their video. As for the Balance Board Play no times have been set. The “Too Quik” video posted on the Web Site is for demonstration only since their play has been disqualified. Therefore, the Champions Corner is waiting for its Balance Board KING of COG video.

Teams submitting videos are to identify their Captain by providing his or her contact address when sending in their video which must include his/her phone, email, or his/her preferred Social Media address or physical postal address. COG Management will acknowledge receiving Team Play videos.

So, there is the possibility of the Champions Corner having:

• FLAT SURFACE Teams of 2 players, 3 Players, 4 Players, 5 Players, 6 Players or more each submitting “timed” videos – each Team vying to be dubbed, KING of COG
• BALANCE BOARD Teams of 2 players, 3 Players, 4 Players, 5 Players, or 6 Players each submitting “timed” videos – each Team vying to be dubbed, KING of COG

Remember posting the fastest play time “Start” of play to “End” of play is judged according to the Official COG Booklet Rules of Play and as declared a new winning time by COG Management.

Each Team Play video will be viewed by COG Management to verify that the COG Play Rules were followed and to record the time of Play. COG Management reserves the right to accept or reject any submissions, for any reason. COG Management’s decisions in this regard will be final. Among other things, submissions may be rejected based on doubts regarding authenticity of recordings or game play, where game play rules appear to have been violated, where videos do not show the entire field of play or where certain aspects of game play are obstructed, where management believes time measurements may have been altered or falsified, where management believes there was some other irregularity in game play or where management believes that game sets were altered or otherwise tampered with, or for any reason at all. Participants will have no right to contest or appeal any of COG Management’s decisions. COG Management further reserves the right to exclude individuals, teams, or entities from any or all competitions. Even if it is later established that a winning submission should not have won, other teams will not be entitled to any claims. Videos submitted are done so voluntarily, entirely at the cost of the Team Players and without prize money or any other compensation whatsoever. No purchase is necessary to make an entry to the Champions Corner however Teams wishing participate, with their videos being posted on www.cogthegame.com Web Site, are to use Official COG the GAME Gear only.

By submitting any entry, any participant agrees that these rules and all contests and any disputes related to Champions Corner, any COG the GAME contest, or any other claims against COG the GAME, its agents, assigns, owners, officers, employees, or members are governed by and controlled by the laws of the State of California, applicable to contracts made and performed therein without reference to any otherwise applicable choice of law provisions. Any and all disputes, actions, proceedings or litigation relating to this contest or any other dispute relating to COG the Game in any way will be instituted and prosecuted solely in the Stanislaus County Superior Court and any participant consents to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state courts of California, County of Stanislaus with respect to such disputes, actions, proceedings or litigation.

This program, its videos, Champions Corner, Team Play Competition, and any other contest may be discontinued by COG the GAME at any time, without notice, whether or not entries have been submitted.
